MAJA – SPONSOR OF THE VOLLEYBALL CLUB JEDINSTVO BRCKO
In its long and rich existence, male Volleyball Club JEDINSTVO Brcko achieved some significant results, giving players which were the backbone of both National Volleyball Teams of former Yugoslavia as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina. Some 30 volleyball players from Brcko who played for the National Team, used to thrill the audience throughout the former Yugoslavia as well as Europe with their game and lucidity.
Male Volleyball Club JEDINSTVO Brcko, achieved their greatest success when they finished second in the championship of the former Yugoslavia, where they were in the first league for a number of years. They have won the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup 25 times and in 1963 they were in the finals of the former Yugoslavia Cup too.
The shelves of the club nowadays are decorated with numerous trophies and medals from countless international and domestic tournaments. They also organized the memorial tournament Martinovic – Petrovic – Culic. After a long period of time, on September 12, 2009, Male Volleyball Club JEDINSTVO Brcko revived, organized and held the traditional international memorial volleyball tournament in memory and honor of all the deceased players of this club.
